Strategically
and geographically located to interrupt the steady flow
of re-enforcements needed by Rommel’s troops in North
Africa, Malta held the outcome of WWII in both the Mediterranean
and African theatres. It was impossible for the British
to give up Malta nor could the Nazis afford to lose such
a valuable transit point. Against All Odds is
