In Israel,
military service is compulsory for men and women. Several
years ago women were given the opportunity to serve as
instructors for male soldiers in the use of tanks, heavy
artillery, missiles and explosives. Documenting for the
first time the prestigious Israeli Women Field Officers
School, filmmaker Yael Katzir follows five women cadets
through the rigors of this Officers School. This programme
provides insight into the changing attitudes towards women
in the military.
