Into the Divide is a daily chronicle of John StamstadÍs World
Record ride of the Greater Divide Mountain Bike Route. The
route 2,465 miles extends through the states of Montana, Wyoming,
Idaho, Colorado and New Mexico, reaching elevations of 11,900
feet. YouÍll witness his emotional highs and lows as he braves
lightning storms, freezing cold nights, navigational difficulties,
mosquitoes and ultimately the harsh terrain of the Continental
Divide. YouÍll see Stamstad on the very fringes of human endurance,
his opponent ultimately not the mountains and the trail, but
the constant battle against himself and the will to continue.
